Proper aftercare helps your tattoo
heal beautifully and last longer.
*To keep your tattoo looking beautiful, remember
that aftercare is just as important as the tattoo itself.
First 3–5 Days
• If Second Skin / Saniderm has been applied, keep the protective bandage on for 3–5 days,
or as instructed by your tattoo artist.
• It is normal to see a small amount of plasma, ink, or body fluid collecting under
the bandage within the first 24–48 hours.
• If you notice excessive fluid buildup, leakage, the bandage lifting, or any discomfort, please contact
us so the bandage can be changed or removed properly.
After Removing the Bandage
• Carefully remove the protective bandage with clean hands.
• After removing the bandage, gently wash your tattoo with lukewarm water and fragrance-free antibacterial soap. Do not scrub or apply too much pressure.
• Pat the area dry with a clean paper towel. Do not rub.
• Do not pick, peel, or scratch any scabs. Let them come off naturally during the healing process.
Moisturizing
• Once the tattoo is completely dry, apply
a thin layer of Aquaphor or a tattoo-safe moisturizer.
• Apply a small amount 4–5 times a day.
• Continue moisturizing your tattoo regularly for 1 month.
• Do not over-apply cream or ointment; a thin layer is enough.
What to Avoid
For at least 2–3 weeks
• Do not expose your tattoo to direct sunlight.
• Do not swim in pools, oceans, lakes, or hot tubs.
• Do not use tanning beds.
• Do not scratch your tattoo or pick at scabs.
• Keep your tattoo away from chlorine, salt water, bleach,
and other harsh chemicals.
Healing Tips
Your tattoo may feel slightly tender, dry, or itchy during the healing process this is completely normal. Keep the area clean, follow your artist’s aftercare instructions, and apply a thin layer of moisturizer as needed.
Avoid direct sun exposure, swimming, heavy friction, and picking or scratching the area while it heals. If you have any questions or notice unusual irritation, our team is always here to help.
